Define the following terms in your own words:

1. distance
2. displacement
3. velocity

1. distance - the length of the path traveled by an object
2.displacement - how far an object is from where it started
3. velocity - how quickly an object moves from one place to another
4. speed - the magnitude of an object's velocity
5. momentum - the velocity + mass of an object; mass in motion
6. acceleration - the rate at which velocity changes
7. inertia - the resistance an object has to a change in its state of motion (7:28)

Now let's test some of these ideas by doing Marble Lab II
